Senior Counsel
Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our dynamic legal team and apply multiple areas of expertise to the diverse business challenges of a global hedge fund. The ideal candidate will want to engage in multiple substantive areas and take on a wide range of responsibilities, including regulatory advice, negotiation of transactions and agreements, investment-related legal advice, and general corporate work. Candidates should be curious and driven with a desire to learn about all aspects of an investment firm.
Requirements:

At least 4 years of experience in some or all of the areas mentioned above.

Strong academic credentials and the desire to work with academically-oriented colleagues.

High ethical standards, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, quantitative reasoning ability, and work ethic.
- Big law firm and/or asset management firm experience a plus.
