Senior Manager, Provider Partnerships

The Senior Manager, Provider Partnership is accountable for overseeing daily operations while mentoring and coaching a team, fostering their professional growth, and ensuring their success in driving provider engagement and operational excellence. The Senior Manager, Provider Partnership plays a critical role in local strategy development, identifying opportunities to enhance our provider network’s performance and foster deeper mission alignment. This role is instrumental in building infrastructure and designing/refining robust processes that streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and equip their team with the tools they need to thrive. Collaboration with internal departments is critical to enable our aligned provider networks to deliver timely medical services to frail seniors across multiple geographies.

Essential Job Duties:

Team Leadership and Development

  • Directly oversee, recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team, providing ongoing, hands-on coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to enhance skills, and ensure professional growth

Operational Excellence and Process Design

  • Identify, design, and implement scalable processes, workflows, and tools to optimize team effectiveness and streamline provider onboarding, training, and ongoing relationship management - this includes creating and updating training materials, standard operating procedures, and best practice guides
  • Proactively analyze operational gaps and develop innovative solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and provider satisfaction

Strategic Contribution and Performance Management

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the overarching provider partnership strategy, aligning with organizational goals and participant needs
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for the team and the overall provider network

Complex Issue Resolution and Support

  • Act as an escalation point for complex provider relationship challenges, supporting the team in resolving difficult issues and maintaining positive partnerships, as well as occasionally conduct field visits with the team to provide direct coaching, observe processes, and support critical provider meetings

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments (e.g., Clinical Operations, Utilization Management, Claims, Contracting, PACE Center Leadership) to ensure seamless communication, workflow integration, and alignment in supporting our provider network

Job Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable with travelling to our WelbeHealth Southern California PACE Centers based on business needs - up to10-15% of travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; professional experience may be substituted
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in provider relations, network management, or health plan operations/account management in a complex healthcare environment - Healthcare experience is a must have for the role
  • Minimum of two (2) years of direct team management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a small to mid-size team remotely
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize operational processes and infrastructure to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Track record of reliably managing complex processes to on-time completion

Salary/Wage base range for this role is $129,969 - $158,617 / year + Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
