Part-Time Japanese-Speaking Nanny – Brooklyn, NY 

A family in Brooklyn, NY (11215) is seeking an experienced, engaging, and Japanese-speaking part-time nanny for their two children (a 5-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son) starting in September. The ideal candidate will speak Japanese with the children to support their language immersion and assist with after-school routines. 

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
• Start time: 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM | End time: 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM
• 20–25 hours per week

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• No pets in the home
• All pickup locations are within walking distance or accessible via public transit (stroller provided)

Responsibilities:

• Pick up daughter from school and son from daycare and escort them home safely
• Escort 5-year-old daughter to Japanese after-school classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Engage and converse with the children in Japanese during play and daily activities
• Prepare simple snacks and meals for the children
• Perform light housekeeping duties (washing dishes, tidying up play areas and spaces utilized during care)

Requirements:

• Fluency in Japanese (ability to speak with and guide children in Japanese)
• Prior experience in babysitting or childcare
• Comfortable walking and taking local public transit with young children (son uses a stroller)

 

Preferred:

• CPR and First Aid certified

 

Compensation:

• $25-$30 per hour
