Part Time Nanny (Autism Experience Required) – San Francisco, CA 

 

A welcoming family in San Francisco, CA is seeking an engaging, attentive part-time nanny to care for their two children (ages 9 and 6), including a child on the autism spectrum. The home environment is lively, pet-friendly (fish), and enjoys music, reading, and cooking. 

 

Schedule: 

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM 
• Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM 
• 20+ hours per week guaranteed (combining core after-school hours with occasional morning or evening flexibility) 
• Start Date: Mid-to-late October (ideal candidate available for up to 1 week of transition overlap) 

 

Family Specifications: 

• Household includes two children (ages 9 and 6, with the 9-year-old on the autism spectrum) 
• Pets in home: Fish 
• Interests: Music, reading, and cooking 
• A family vehicle is available for driving duty, though a caregiver using their own vehicle is preferred 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide attentive, high-quality care and active supervision for two children, utilizing autism-informed support 
• Safely transport children to and from school and activities, and accompany them on outings 
• Assist with homework and age-appropriate learning tasks 
• Plan meals, prepare food, and feed the children 
• Perform light housekeeping, children’s laundry, and run household errands 
• Engage children with creative activities centered on music, reading, and cooking 

 

Requirements: 

• Proven experience supporting children on the autism spectrum / special needs 
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) 

 

Preferred: 

• Caregiver with their own reliable vehicle for driving duty 

 

Compensation: 

• $40–$45 per hour 
• Gas stipend / reimbursement provided if using personal vehicle
