Part Time Nanny – Vernon, CT

A welcoming family in Vernon, CT 06066 is seeking a warm, engaging part-time nanny to care for their 20-month-old child. This is a great opportunity for a caregiver looking for a reliable schedule with a loving family.

Schedule:

• 1–2 days per week (Fridays required; second day is flexible)
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Opportunity to potentially add more days/hours in the future

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• One dog in the household (caregiver must be comfortable around pets)
• Family values age-appropriate engagement and fun learning activities

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, interactive care for a toddler
• Plan and engage in age and developmentally appropriate activities (e.g., crafts, storytime)
• Meal preparation and planning for the child
• Support with daily routines including diaper changes
• Light housekeeping related to the child (including meal cleanup and child's laundry)
• Openness to taking the household dog out once during the day (not strictly required)

Requirements:

• Driver’s license and own reliable transportation for commute and potential local outings
• Ability to safely perform essential physical duties associated with toddler care

Preferred:

• Experience caring for children aged 1–2 years
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Openness to outings to local, age appropriate activities such as the park, Little Gym, and storytimes 

Compensation:

• $21-$23 per hour (commensurate with experience)
• Mileage reimbursement/gas stipend for work-related driving duties (outings, storytime, etc)
