Senior Landscape Architect

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determination and selection of project design criteria, procedures and processes.
- Independently leads projects of significant complexity and scope.
- Determination and implementation of project design criteria, procedures and processes.
- Organize project related meetings to coordinate activities, communicate designs and assign tasks to technical and non-technical staff.
- Applies expertise to achieve overall objectives, resolve critical issues, project financial performance, and formulate group initiatives.
- Mentoring and training of mid to junior level staff.
- Supervise preparation of landscape architecture deliverables including models, drawings, specifications, and other project related documentation.
- Participate in working design sessions and public visioning and outreach meetings.
- Responsible for project completion/closeout and overall client satisfaction.
- Participate in business development efforts, marketing and communication and project pursuits.
- Perform construction administration related tasks including submittal review, responding to RFI’s and observation of construction related activities.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Landscape Architecture from accredited program required.
- 10+ years of related landscape architecture experience required. Focus on public and recreation markets a plus.
- Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) required.
- CAD/BIM experience required. Knowledgeable in GIS and Civil 3D a plus.
- Experience with ornamental and native plantings of the Midwest required.
- Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external clients.
- Hand rendering, digital graphic skills and estimating required.
- Responsible for project task management and meeting scope and schedule.
