
Senior Highway Design Manager

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and reviewing plan sets, quantity estimates, and reports
- Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with IDOT and local agency standards
- Mentoring project staff
- Maintaining project budgets and schedules
- Preforming QA/QC tasks
- Hybrid work, 3 days in Darien office required
- Participating in business development opportunities, including writing technical proposals, scopes of work, and developing fee estimates
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of 10+ years of related design and Project Management experience
- Proven ability to lead successful teams, internally and externally
- Proven ability to build effective business relationships
- Established and positive industry reputation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MicroStation, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
