The Position

Our DevOps Engineer must have a strong technical background in Azure, development, and operations processes, as our firm implements an aggressive and exciting cloud strategy. This role will facilitate and develop streamlined processes and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of software engineers, data engineers, product and project managers, business analysts, and infrastructure architects. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving and innovation. Our IT department is project-focused, undergoing a complete digital business transformation for the firm. This position will drive new possibilities and opportunities for teams to learn cutting edge technologies while ensuring current systems are supported at their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain highly scalable Azure infrastructure using Microsoft Bicep and PowerShell
  • Create and maintain Azure DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines and environments
  • Assist with Azure infrastructure or application code related troubleshooting
  • Maintain proper user access to infrastructure and applications with EntraID and Azure IAM
  • Perform periodic application security and code quality reviews with Snyk and Sonar Cloud
  • Create modern automated cloud first solutions
  • Attend daily Agile Standup and report on work progress
  • Assist IT teams with onboarding new Azure infrastructure
  • Recommend best DevOps practices based on industry standards

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience deploying and maintaining Azure PaaS resources
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines
  • 3+ years of experience with languages such as PowerShell, C# and Python
  • 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (AzureRM, Bicep, Terraform, etc)
  • Experience with EntraID or AD, and Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Azure Container Apps, AKS, etc)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian product suite, i.e. Jira, Jira SM, and Confluence
  • Ability to clearly articulate DevOps best practices and concepts to Development and IT Teams
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into work product that meet business needs
  • Microsoft Certification a big plus (AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500, AZ-900)
  • Experience with shift left code security practices (Snyk, etc.) a big plus
  • Experience with code quality tools (Sonar, etc.) a big plus
  • Experience developing software a plus

Education

  • Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company

 

 

 

 

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.  This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. 

Salary Range:

$155,000 - $180,000 USD
