Withum is seeking the right person to fill the position of Marketing Strategist based in our New York City office, who will support our Technology Services practice in addition to supporting firm growth initiatives in the New York City market. This person will be dynamic and outgoing, who is highly motivated, proactive, and communicative, with a high sense of urgency to keep projects and initiatives moving forward to completion. 

Technology Practice responsibilities include:

  • Leading a collaborative effort with Practice Leaders to develop and execute on the strategic marketing plan, and all activities and campaigns related to the marketing plan, with the goal to elevate brand awareness and build relationships within the Tech ecosystems in various markets across the country.
  • Helping develop strategic partnerships within the Tech ecosystems, while staying informed on client and market trends in order to identify potential areas of growth. Also monitor and report on competition and competitive trends.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts within the practice to develop engaging content for website, email, podcasts, webinars, and other channels of distribution.
  • Coordinate and execute on engaging live and/or virtual events for building relationships and demonstrating thought leadership.
  • Manage the overall marketing budget, and work with regional leaders on budgetary needs.
  • Determining and monitoring KPIs and ROI on all marketing activities and expenditures.

NYC Market responsibilities include:

  • Office Marketing Plan Development and Implementation: Work with the Regional Marketing Director to implement marketing plans and tasks which will build brand eminence in the NYC business community and build a strong marketing culture within the office.
  • External: Support networking events, conferences, meetings, and regional marketing campaigns specific to NYC marketplace; coordinate firm membership and involvement in local business organizations.
  • Internal efforts: Lead the conception and coordination of office events for BDP (business development program) and Emerging Professionals events.

Must possess the following skillsets:

  • Leadership – thought leader and strategic partner to practice leaders; ability to motivate and delegate to subordinate team members to achieve objectives.
  • Strategic Thinker – has a deep understanding of markets and services, leveraging resources to execute on the tactical plan.
  • Competent – strong general business acumen with a desire to win; strong familiarity with competition and trends in the marketplace; CMO and Practice Leaders can delegate responsibilities with confidence of clean execution and timely, quality deliverables.
  • Initiator – high sense of urgency, proactive and highly organized; promotes fresh ideas and conversations; not being reactive to requests.
  • Time Management – consistent scheduling time with team leaders and/or team members
  • Innovative, Visionary – Sees the big picture and can connect the dots to pull people and processes together; leverages technology to drive efficiency; new ideas from other industries.
  • Brand Champion – you know the brand and support it. The style. The voice. The purpose.
  • Goal oriented – eager to hit metrics, KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related area from an accredited college or university.
  • 6+ years of experience in a marketing role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • High level of comfort and skill with technology and apps.
  • Possess strong business acumen, and interest in the Tech industry.

The compensation for this position will vary by location. If you reside in New York City, please see below. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications. New York City ranges are from $75,000 - $90,000 annually
