Managing Director, North America

Remote

WongDoody is seeking an exceptional, forward‑thinking Managing Director, North America, to serve as the strategic engine behind our new business and client expansion efforts across the region. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping how the agency engages the market, develops long‑term commercial relationships, and grows our footprint among category‑leading brands. Reporting to our CEO, you will guide both our business development team and our client partner group, setting the vision, pace, and operational rigor required to elevate WongDoody’s competitive position in North America.

We are looking for someone who combines commercial excellence with creative empathy — a leader who can navigate the intersection of business needs, marketing transformation, and human‑centered creativity. You are known for connecting dots others don’t see, cultivating networks that yield meaningful opportunities, and inspiring teams to push for intelligent, sustainable growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Architect and Drive Growth Across the Region

  • Establish a long‑term, data‑informed growth strategy that positions WongDoody North America as a top‑tier choice for brands seeking creative, design, and experience innovation.
  • Develop comprehensive market approaches that align with regional strengths, global priorities, and Infosys partners’ capabilities, ensuring strategies scale across markets and sectors.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, emerging verticals, and high‑value relationships that support sustainable and diversified revenue expansion.
  • Maintain a consistent presence in the market — as a thought partner, speaker, facilitator, and ambassador for the WongDoody brand — strengthening visibility and industry credibility.

Lead High‑Performing Business Development and Client Partnerships

  • Oversee, mentor, and grow the business development team, establishing best‑in‑class pursuit practices, qualification frameworks, and go‑to‑market discipline.
  • Partner closely with client partners to strengthen existing accounts, enhance organic growth, and ensure a seamless integration between new business and ongoing client success.
  • Implement rigorous pipeline management processes, ensuring opportunities are accurately forecasted, strategically prioritized, and effectively resourced.
  • Shape compelling narratives and differentiated value propositions that highlight WongDoody’s strengths in creativity, human experience design, strategy, and rapid‑scaling delivery through Infosys.

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Oversee the P&L for North America's new business, ensuring performance aligns with regional financial targets, including revenue, margin, and overall portfolio health.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline outcomes and revenue scenarios; proactively adjust priorities to mitigate risk and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Guide account and practice leaders on pricing, scoping, and delivery models that protect profitability while enabling creative excellence and client impact.

Champion the WongDoody Brand and Culture

  • Represent the agency confidently, authentically, and aspirationally in all external contexts — from pitch rooms and executive summits to industry events and strategic partner conversations.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and commercial agility within the growth organization.
  • Steer cross‑regional collaboration to ensure global consistency, shared learnings, and a unified market story across all studios.

WHAT YOU'VE GOT

  • A proven track record of scaling an agency practice or leading significant business expansion within a creative, design, or digital consultancy environment, including managing or contributing to a business or division in the $150M–$200M range.
  • MBA or master’s degree in digital marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years of previous digital agency experience and diverse, varied client experience (required).
  • Demonstrated success as a senior new business leader, ideally within an advertising, design, or digital transformation environment; start‑up or high‑growth organizational experience preferred.
  • Deep fluency across digital creative ecosystems — including connected brand experiences, integrated campaigns, multi‑platform storytelling, CX/UX, data‑driven creativity, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence C‑suite decision‑makers and cross‑functional teams.
  • A proactive, high‑energy personality marked by resilience, curiosity, and a bias toward action.
  • A deep appreciation for creativity, design, technology, and the evolving nature of human experience.
  • Proximity to a WongDoody studio is required (NY, LA, SEA); San Francisco is acceptable as well.

THE PERKS

On top of your paycheck, you’ll receive a competitive benefit package to help keep you healthy, secure, and balanced. You’ll get great medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company match, extended holidays, flexible summer hours, and volunteer time off to name a few.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
