Position Overview
Woolpert is seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect to join our dynamic Healthcare Architecture Team. This position reports to the Healthcare Architecture Leader, Sector Leader, or Design Director and serves as a senior technical authority responsible for advancing healthcare design excellence, project quality, client relationships, and strategic project delivery efforts. Qualified candidates will possess extensive healthcare architecture experience, recognized technical expertise, and the ability to influence project outcomes across multiple teams and stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Provide senior architectural leadership for large, complex, or high-profile healthcare projects.
- Serve as a technical authority on healthcare planning, design standards, regulatory requirements, and project delivery.
- Lead healthcare programming, master planning, operational workflow assessment, and design strategy development.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams from project inception through construction completion.
- Direct development and validation of design concepts, technical documentation, and architectural standards.
- Facilitate executive-level client discussions involving project strategy, facility planning, and design solutions.
- Evaluate and resolve complex code, life safety, operational, and constructability challenges.
- Lead quality assurance reviews and establish best practices for healthcare project delivery.
- Mentor architects, planners, and designers across multiple career levels.
- Support business development activities including pursuits, proposals, interviews, thought leadership, and client relationship development.
- Advance innovation in healthcare design by promoting evidence-based design, digital delivery practices, and emerging industry trends.
- Travel to client sites, conferences, project meetings, and job sites as required.
What You Will Bring
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience.
- Extensive experience leading healthcare facility projects including hospitals, academic medical centers, ambulatory care facilities, specialty clinics, and healthcare campuses.
Licenses / Certifications
- Registered Architect (RA) license required.
- LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
- EDAC certification strongly preferred.
Software
- Revit required.
- AutoCAD preferred.
- Adobe Creative Suite.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- BIM and healthcare planning technologies.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Pay Range
$118,200 - $147,800 USD
