Position Overview
Woolpert is hiring a Senior Manager, Accounting, to join our dynamic Finance team. This position reports to the Regional Controller and is responsible for leading our General Ledger Accounting functions. Reporting to the US Regional Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company's accounting records and financial close processes while maintaining compliance with US GAAP. The Accounting Sr. Manager will oversee the General Ledger Accounting team and provide leadership for month-end close, account reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and other technical accounting activities.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with practical knowledge of accounting practices and a passion for building scalable processes, improving controls, strengthening documentation, and developing a high-performing accounting organization.

What You Will Do:
- Lead the general ledger accounting team.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
- Support financial statement audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Drive standardization and process improvements across accounting operations.
- Establish strong internal control practices and promote a controls-oriented culture.
- Support DCAA, DCMA, and other external audits.
- Perform compliance assessments and identify opportunities to strengthen policies, controls, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures supporting accounting system adequacy requirements.

- Deep understanding of general ledger processes and period close.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex regulations into practical guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Collaborative and proactive working style with strong business acumen.
- High integrity, ethical judgment, and commitment to maintaining compliance excellence.
- Technical understanding of federal contract accounting and compliance frameworks is a plus.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Pay Range
$118,200 - $147,800 USD
