You will be an integral part of the Global People Operations team, supporting our mission of being a world-class shared services organization to deliver accurate, timely and consistent services to all candidates and employees of Workato. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, Global People Operations and Technology.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Serve as the go-to person for the Philippines entity incorporation and ongoing maintenance from a HR compliance perspective.

  • Serve as the primary expert on Philippine labour laws, and localize HR Policies & Procedures: Adapt and localize all corporate HR policies, procedures and templates (e.g., code of conduct, leave policies, disciplinary actions, performance management, employment contract, employee handbook) to ensure full compliance with the Philippines labour code and other relevant DOLE issuances. Where corporate policies might conflict or be insufficient for local context, propose and implement suitable local additions or modifications.
  • Support the transfer of employees from our EOR partner to the Philippine entity.
  • Understand the nature of our workforce in the Philippines and establish timekeeping policies and a timekeeping system to accurately capture all required data
  • Work with the internal Payroll team to establish a robust payroll system and processes that ensure accurate and timely salary payments, tax deductions and adherence to Philippine payroll regulations.

Support general people operations work: In addition to Philippines processes, you will also lead global process optimization projects.

  • Take the lead on global process optimisation projects by identifying inconsistencies in processes and employee experiences for a particular process, and propose ways to optimize our internal processes through standardization and/or personalisation. This will set the foundation for process automation using the Workato platform.
  • Responsible for responding timely to tickets that are escalated to you because of your local/regional knowledge or process expertise.
