So, what will your new role look like?
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Marketing role is crafted for a strategic, results-driven leader ready to elevate and execute a high-impact marketing strategy for ShareGate by Workleap, a leading Microsoft 365 migration and governance solution. As part of a trusted leader in cloud technology, you’ll build on ShareGate’s strong market presence to drive demand, deepen customer engagement, and expand product adoption. Collaborating with a dynamic, cross-functional team of specialists in product marketing, growth, brand, and community, you’ll lead efforts to align strategies, maximize revenue growth, and enhance the impact of our solutions. Your role will be pivotal in unlocking the full potential of our product suite and achieving new levels of success in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our growth objectives, driving ShareGate’s brand awareness, demand generation, and community engagement.
- Work closely with leaders across growth, product, and executive teams to co-create an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with company objectives.
- Drive alignment and consistency in go-to-market initiatives through effective communication and strategic planning, ensuring all efforts contribute to ShareGate’s overall success.
- Leverage strong project management skills to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring they remain aligned with our growth trajectory and deliver on key objectives.
- Brand Development: Strengthen ShareGate’s trusted brand identity within the cloud technology and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, positioning it as a leader in migration, governance, and cost optimization.
- Demand Generation: Drive multi-channel campaigns that build a robust pipeline, accelerate customer acquisition, and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate a thriving community of IT professionals, administrators, and advocates through impactful content, events, and strategic partnerships that reinforce customer loyalty.
- Product Marketing: Develop product marketing strategies that emphasize ShareGate’s unique value proposition, collaborating closely with product teams to ensure messaging resonates and drives adoption of the full feature set. Bring strong expertise in channel partnerships and distributor relationships.
- Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives, measuring success and refining strategies to maximize impact.

Qualifications
- Experience: You bring 8-12 years in marketing leadership roles, ideally as a well-rounded marketing generalist with specialized strengths that set you apart—perhaps you even have the breadth of a GM. Your experience spans multiple facets of marketing, with a strong foundation in growth or product marketing. A background in IT Cloud or a related industry is a valuable asset.
- Challenger Mindset: Brings a strategic, growth-focused approach to scaling an established brand and driving its continued success. Experience driving revenue growth past $100 million is a valuable asset.
- Entrepreneurial & Resourceful: Self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive and strong business acumen, this person is highly resourceful, finding creative solutions and moving initiatives forward with an integrated team.
- Community Builder: Expertise in community engagement and brand-building, able to foster strong connections within the IT Cloud industry.
- Demand-Driven: Skilled in devising and executing multi-channel demand generation strategies that contribute directly to growth objectives.
- Data-Driven: Adept at analyzing metrics and adjusting strategies to optimize performance, with a commitment to achieving tangible results.
