Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the team’s ability to meet sales revenue goals. You will be responsible for orchestrating the free trial experience, navigating IT processes, conducting product training, and facilitating smooth hand-offs during onboarding. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and exceptional communication skills to drive successful outcomes.

 

As a Sales Engineer,  you will:

  • Set up free trial accounts for prospective clients, coordinating and implementing technical steps such as DNS when necessary.
  • Replicate and customize newsletters to showcase our software's capabilities effectively.
  • Collaborate directly with the prospects IT team to fulfill requirements necessary for securing deals.
  • Keep the IT approval process on track by proactively following up on approval statuses.
  • Address any inquiries or concerns via email promptly and comprehensively.
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales and product teams, ensuring alignment on product knowledge and messaging.
  • Conduct comprehensive product training sessions for Account Executives (AEs), equipping them with the necessary insights to effectively showcase our solutions.
  • Participate in shadowing new AE calls, providing constructive feedback on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Engage in product role-playing exercises with new AEs to enhance their proficiency.
  • Gather detailed technical setup requirements and meticulously document them in the CRM (Hubspot)
  • Relay technical setup notes to the onboarding team to facilitate a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

 

To be successful in this position you will need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software sales engineering or a similar technical sales role.
  • Strong understanding of IT processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in product demonstrations and training delivery.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs
