Why we're hiring:

This role would suit an individual with a background in executing forensic audit for investigations (including financial and digital review) and experience of in particular ABC risks, financial crime, supply chain risk, cultural risks, whistleblowing, control environments and investigation’s records management.

The role sits in WPP’s Business Integrity team (within WPP’s Legal function), has a global focus and reports to the Forensic Investigations Director based in New Delhi.

What you'll be doing:

Identifying, obtaining and reviewing relevant email data sets to assist the progression of investigations, with responsibilities including:

  • Identifying, obtaining and reviewing relevant financial data to assist the progression of investigations
  • Identifying and reviewing high risk issues through data analysis
  • Supporting the WPP General Counsel, Corporate Risk and the Head of Investigations in ensuring all issues are thoroughly and promptly investigated and remediated
  • Collaborating with other WPP and regional departments in pursuit of the objectives of the role
  • Reporting areas of concern arising from the work performed

 

What you'll need:

  • Significant forensic investigative experience, preferably with some experience in financial crime
  • Experience in reviewing and analysing financial data to identify areas of risk and issues of concern
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse large data sets and distil key trends and findings efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Experience in using e-discovery systems and creating targeted digital review structures to efficiently analyse large volumes of data
  • Ability to deliver results in a commercial environment using written and verbal presentation skills
  • Problem solver – able to work without pre-determined programme in order to identify and solve issues
  • Knowledge of chain of evidence procedures and how to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive material
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a large and varied case load effectively and efficiently to achieve positive results
  • Professional background, with an accounting qualification (or equivalent) or legal qualification beneficial

It is produced by mapping resources, systems and processes against WPP’s risk appetite, governance requirements and regulator expectations and then crafting actions from the results.

Actions for the business integrity team focus on tackling root causes of risk and include:

  • in respect of resources, championing and enhancing messages and examples from global, regional and local leadership with communications, training sessions, workshops, townhalls and practical guidance, knowhow and resources for our people and providing “on the ground” support for day to day queries from our networks;
  • in respect of systems, advising on the implementation of WPP’s policies, procedures and controls and providing a compliance lens for the design and structure of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment; and
  • in terms of processes, conducting an annual assessment of business integrity risk, monitoring dynamic data feeds, pro-active management of self-certifications and disclosures from our people, reviewing and investigating concerns raised including by whistleblowers and tracking remediation efforts.
