Why we're hiring:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mandarin Translator with foundational knowledge in finance and accounting to support bilingual communication, documentation, and reporting needs across our finance operations. The ideal candidate will bridge language gaps while ensuring accuracy in financial terminology and compliance with internal standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Translate financial documents (invoices, contracts, reports, tax forms) from Mandarin to English and vice versa with high accuracy without using AI or any translation tool.
- Interpret during meetings, calls, and audits involving Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Assist finance and accounting teams in reviewing Mandarin-language records for compliance and clarity.
- Support the preparation of bilingual financial statements, expense reports, and reconciliation summaries.
- Maintain terminology consistency across translated materials, especially for accounting standards and tax codes.
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams to clarify financial terms and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure confidentiality and data integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written); certification preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax terminology.
- Prior experience in finance-related translation or bilingual accounting support is a plus.
