Role Summary and Impact
As part of the Global Operations Centre (GOC), you will work closely with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We are looking for Cloud Data Engineer who will:
- Data Pipeline Development: Support the design, development, and implementation of new data pipelines using GCP services like Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, and Dataproc to ingest data from a variety of sources.
- SQL-Based Transformations: Author, execute, and optimize complex SQL joins and transformations within GCP BigQuery to clean, reshape, and structure raw data into high-quality, usable assets.
- Data Modeling Support: Assist the senior engineering and analytics teams with data modeling and schema design, helping to implement the structures that support our BI and analytics use cases.
- Pipeline Maintenance and Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data pipelines to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaboration and Implementation: Work as a key member of the engineering team to translate technical requirements into functional code and support the deployment of data solutions.
Skills and Experience
If this opportunity looks right for you, we are looking for candidates who have:
- 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in a data engineering or similar role.
- Strong, demonstrated proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and transformation is essential.
- Hands-on programming experience with Python for data processing tasks.
- Experience working within a major cloud environment (GCP is highly preferred; AWS, Azure are also valuable).
- Experience working with complex, large-scale enterprise media data is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT principles and experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Data Fusion).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and database design.
- A collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
