Job Overview
The Group Head Connection Planning is a strategic leader responsible for bridging high-level business objectives with innovative, integrated media solutions. This role goes beyond traditional media planning, acting as a senior business partner to clients by translating complex consumer insights and data into actionable, full-funnel strategies.
You will lead a team of planners, ensuring excellence in strategic output while continuously pushing for forward-thinking ideas that drive both brand growth and business results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the development of integrated 360-degree media strategies across offline, digital, performance, and earned channels.
- Ensure strategies are aligned with client business goals and evolving market dynamics.
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, understanding their business challenges and delivering media solutions that drive measurable impact (e.g., revenue, brand equity).
- Translate business objectives into clear, actionable media frameworks.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Serve as the anchor for the planning team by providing clear direction, managing workloads, and ensuring high-quality output.
- Coach and develop team members to elevate strategic thinking and execution excellence.
Creative Media Innovation
- Challenge conventional approaches by introducing innovative, non-linear media strategies and first-to-market ideas.
- Drive “beyond-hygiene” thinking to capture attention and differentiate client brands.
Market & Consumer Intelligence
- Continuously monitor industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging platforms to identify growth opportunities.
- Leverage insights to inform strategic recommendations and future-forward planning.
Full-Funnel & Commerce Integration
- Design end-to-end consumer journeys that connect awareness, engagement, and conversion across platforms.
- Ensure seamless integration between brand-building and performance-driven activities.
Requirements
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in media planning, integrated marketing, or communications strategy.
- Proven experience handling senior stakeholders and leading strategic planning for multiple brands or clients.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of integrated media strategy across offline, digital, and performance channels.
- Familiarity with data-driven planning, measurement frameworks, and attribution models.
Leadership Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage workloads, and drive high performance.
- Strong decision-making and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strategic & Creative Mindset
- Ability to think beyond standard media solutions and develop innovative approaches to solve business challenges.
Analytical Skills
- Strong capability to interpret complex data and translate insights into compelling strategic narratives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Business Impact: Contribution to client growth, including revenue and brand performance
