Role Summary and Impact
As an Ad Operations Executive, you will be instrumental in upholding best practice trafficking processes and ensuring adherence to WPP650's leading-edge methods in client setup and campaign delivery. You will manage the smooth implementation, trafficking, and administration of all online advertising campaigns, ensuring on-time delivery of compliant creatives and accurate tracking for campaign objectives. This role requires expertise in ad serving technologies, troubleshooting delivery issues, and providing essential technical support to internal and client teams, ultimately ensuring operational excellence and contributing to the success and continuous innovation of WPP650's digital advertising services.
Reporting Structure: Reports to Ad Operations Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Implementation
- Ensure that Ad Ops best practice and frameworks are adhered to and demonstrate continued evolution.
- Ensure adherence to WPP650 best practice methods in client setup and trafficking, meeting all Client deadlines.
- Manage the smooth implementation, trafficking, and administration of all online advertising campaigns.
- Ensure the on-time delivery of compliant creative materials respecting both publisher specifications and brand policies.
- Implement appropriate tracking for all stakeholders to measure and achieve campaign objectives accurately.
- Ensure proficient implementation of ad serving, web analytics UTM’s and Taxonomies,
- Manage campaign implementations in DCM or other designated third-party ad-servers.
- Oversee the implementation, trafficking, and maintenance of campaigns within third-party ad-servers/systems, including creative and campaign testing.
Technical Operations & Troubleshooting
- Address and troubleshoot campaign delivery issues to devise solutions to delivery/performance problems.
- Experience in testing and installing publisher pixels, uploading creatives to meet specifications, and efficiently managing workload, ensuring clarity and communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support to account and client teams, as well as to local teams in other markets, to ensure global standardisation.
- Help to manage the implementation of third-party tracking tools for campaign optimization and reporting and help to coordinate tracking tags implementation onto sites with development teams.
- Aid in pulling ad-server reports and analysing results to enhance campaign performance optimisation.
- Grasp the importance of tracking technologies and its foundational role in Digital operations.
- Stay updated on digital market developments and new technologies, always seeking ways to improve and optimise current processes through appropriate technical solutions.
Client Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with Digital Account Directors/Managers to identify client issues and relay them back to the Client teams for the development of improved tracking strategies.
- Actively manage your workload in alignment with key tasks and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with account team members to resolve media challenges and help identify new opportunities for campaigns.
- Communicate confidently and clearly with the team and other stakeholders.
- Foster a strong understanding and working relationships with other WPP650 departments/services.
- Help to initiate new processes and opportunities to enhance workflow.
Skills and Behaviours:
- Experience with front end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, javascript.
- Experience and knowledge of 3rd party adserving technology such as Doubleclick, AdFrom, Flashtalking
- Knowledge of Tag Management Systems such as Google Tag Manager
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a small team.
- Diligence in delivering against pre agreed timescales
- Display a pro-active attitude to learn new things and be positive about taking on new challenges.
