Role Summary and Impact

This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role for a visionary Media Planning Director LATAM with a genuine passion for the tech industry. You will oversee and orchestrate the entire media planning and activation operation for a key tech client across 14+ markets in LATAM.

The primary impact lies in being an operational architect, standardizing routines, processes, and best practices across the region to ensure consistency and efficiency. You will develop and implement cutting-edge 360-degree strategies (ATL, Digital, e-commerce), build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, and lead, influence, and guide large, dispersed regional teams.

Your work will focus on solving complex problems with clear plans, driving significant account growth through operational excellence and strategic foresight, and shaping the future of regional media strategies by leveraging WPP's advanced tools and expertise. This role seeks a strategic "doer" who isn't afraid to get "hands-on" for client "big bets," transforming vision into real, measurable impact across the region.

Skills and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications a plus.

Professional Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in media planning and buying, with a significant focus on digital media.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in a leadership role (e.g., Account Director, Group Media Director) directly managing client accounts and teams.
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience leading and orchestrating multi-market operations across the LATAM region.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and complex media negotiation, particularly at a regional scale.
  • Prior regional e-commerce experience is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading, influencing, and developing large, multidisciplinary media teams across different geographical locations.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Languages: Advanced proficiency in English (B2+ level).
  • Strategic Media Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in developing and executing integrated 360-degree media strategies (ATL & Digital) with a strong regional lens.
  • Digital Marketing Acumen: In-depth knowledge of the digital ecosystem, including e-commerce platforms, digital branding strategies, performance marketing (SEM, Social, Programmatic, etc.), and advanced performance metrics.
  • Analytics & Tools: Proficiency with media planning tools, analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), ad servers, and strong data interpretation skills. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) certification is a strong advantage.

  • Communication: Superior assertive communication skills, capable of translating complex technical and media concepts into clear, actionable business language for diverse audiences.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, adept at navigating regional complexities.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic agency environment, manage multiple regional priorities effectively, and drive change.
  • Results-Oriented: A relentless drive for achieving client success, regional operational excellence, and agency growth.
