ABOUT THE ROLE


We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team. This is a Full Time position based in London. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses. This role reports to the EU Measurement/Analytics Lead.  


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and apply a deep understanding of marketing objectives to support clients with comprehensive measurement and testing plans. 
  • Recruit, manage, and develop 1-3 analysts, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow. 
  • Lead the creation of clear, robust and thought-provoking campaign reviews and insights, and show the wider team/clients how to improve effectiveness.  
  • Exhibit deep understanding of marketing platform testing and targeting abilities, and act in a consultative capacity in their implementation 
  • Deliver insightful campaign reviews with actionable recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness. 
  • Be a reliable day-to-day point of contact for clients and maintain robust client relationships. 
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for the assessment and management of bespoke measurement solutions, including contracts and SOWs. 
  • Manage relationships with data engineering teams and set automation strategies to integrate new tools and solutions. 
  • Be responsible for translating client briefs to identify the most appropriate measurement methodologies including brand lift, digital attribution, and measurement & derivation of various exposure metrics such as multi-media reach, attention & other metrics. 
  • Evaluate measurement capabilities, ensuring a solid understanding of their statistical robustness and limitations. 
  • Develop experimental designs, including A/B testing, multi-cell lift studies, and geo-testing, with a strong grasp of the underlying statistics and logistics required for robust implementation. 
  • Deliver "best in class" analytical capabilities across the wider Measurement team, including the use of new methods, techniques, tools and systems. 
  • Be conversant with the basics of AI and its integration into measurement methodologies, including leveraging AI-driven tools for predictive modeling, optimisation, and insights generation. 
  • Work with the strategy, planning and activation teams to ensure the learnings from previous analysis are fed back into future planning cycles. 
  • Lead target setting and benchmarking for future campaign performance based on historical trends and drivers of performance beyond marketing levers. 




QUALIFICATIONS

  • You will be highly numerate: able to confidently interpret data and apply statistical tests to draw robust conclusions. Including strong understanding of statistics - hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics and distribution theory 
  • Experience in analytics, measurement, data science, or a related field 
  • Excellent knowledge of advanced measurement methodologies including lift studies, geo tests, measurement frameworks, learning agendas, testing methodologies, digital attribution, marketing mix modelling and knowledge of various campaign metrics.  
  • Client relationship skills.  
  • Good working knowledge of media owner measurement capabilities and the ability to evaluate their statistical reliability. 
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Proficiency in SQL and R/Python, along with advanced Excel skills. 
  • Experience managing people, fostering collaboration, and leading by example. 
  • Effective project management skills to manage resources and timelines effectively. 


BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS 
  • Holding a degree(s) in a quantitative field: Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Physical Science or Computer Science 
  • Experience with digital ad technologies (SA360, GA, Campaign Manager, DV360, Meta Business Manager), site analytics and tools 
  • Proven understanding and experience with digital ad platforms APIs 
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies 
  • Speaking any European languages 
  • Be an active member of relevant industry bodies (e.g. IPA Effectiveness, MRS, Media Research Group) and attend training and events.
