About the Role
Our team creates innovative, customer-facing tools and features for Grok.com, focusing on user productivity, agent automation, and empowering people to excel in their work. We seek an experienced, adaptable software engineer who thrives in a dynamic startup environment. Ideal candidates meet these minimum requirements:
- Expertise in a compiled language like Rust, C++, or Go (Rust or C++ preferred)
- Expertise in Python
- Experience designing reliable, horizontally scalable distributed systems
- Experience in API design
Bonus points for familiarity with:
- TypeScript and React
- gRPC
- Kubernetes
Focus
- Designing, building, and supporting robust services for upcoming productivity features and agentic workflows on Grok.com
Location
Based in the Bay Area (San Francisco and Palo Alto). Candidates should be local or willing to relocate.
Interview Process

Annual Salary Range
$180,000 - $440,000 USD
