QA Architect - B2B project

About the Client: Industry leading provider of software and AI solutions for the temporary staffing, cleaning services and personal security industries.
Your profile:
- You have at least 10 years of experience in QA, 3 years in a similar role
- You can design set up a frontend test framework from scratch (Playwright/Selenium…)
- You can design set up backend test framework from scratch (Restsharp)
- You can design and configure a pipeline in at least one selected tool (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab)
- You are familiar with consumer driven contract testing and can use a tool like pact
- You are familiar with at least one cloud AWS or Azure preferably both
- You know how to use git and you can propose branching strategy for the project
- You know C# and you are open to learn more programming languages (Typescript/Python/Java)
- You are experienced in creating PoC of test frameworks and solutions, framework comparisons and presenting them to the customer
- You can design a test strategy for a project and test policy for a customer
- You are experienced in conducting QA project review and process improvement
- You are experienced in preparing estimations for tests in the entire project
- You have experience in mentoring other team members
- You have knowledge about different software architecture patterns and understand their impact on testing)
- You have experience in working and designing tests in agile environment
omfortable working in an AI-native engineering environment using Specification-Driven Development (SDD) frameworks such as OpenSpec to structure requirements, implementation plans, validation and traceability - You have the ability to organize your time on very high level
- You are open to travel
- You speak English at a C1 level
- German language is also a big plus
You will be:
- You will be responsible for designing a test strategy for a new project, entire test approach, automation, manual, functional and non-functional tests, all test levels
- Selecting tools for automation best suited for the project, creating poc, presenting pros and cons for different tools
- Setting up test frameworks, implementing test process, writing tests, leading QA, estimating tests
- You will be conducting QA reviews for existing projects, analyzing test process, automation frameworks etc. creating a report, presenting it to the team and offering improvements
- Your involvement in projects may be short, between 2-6 months, and usually you will not work full-time on one project. There will be periods without project, during this time you will need to organize your time around activities such as:
- Mentoring other QA’s
- Researching new solutions and technologies, creating PoC’s and presenting your findings
- Working on cooperation with other QA’s and Architects on international level from other Xebia parts from Netherlands, Switzerland and India
- Finding ways to improve QA in the entire company
- Supporting other QAs in different projects
- Supporting presales when expert QA knowledge is needed, preparing estimations, representing QA to new potential customers, gathering and analyzing customer QA requirements and problems

Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.

- Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
