The Role

XTX is seeking an experienced individual for the role of Head of Compliance - India. 

This appointment is a key role within XTX India and will be the designated Compliance control function for the firm in India. This role will be part of a global Compliance team reporting to XTX’s India Head of Office and XTX’s Global CCO and supported by XTX’s global compliance team for the administration of the regulatory compliance functions of XTX India. 

Although this role will have primary responsibility for the XTX India Compliance control function, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Global Compliance team contributing to the department’s mission in advising the business regarding India regulatory requirements, administering the firm’s compliance oversight function, providing MI to senior management and the board, monitoring the regulatory horizon and implementing processes intended to meet regulatory requirements in India. 



Essential Attributes

  • Approximately 5-8 years compliance experience, specifically experience in compliance of electronic and algorithmic trading.
  • Prior experience of electronic/algorithmic trading and the associated compliance control framework.
  • Experience running a compliance programme for a finance firm in India, with preference for experience within a proprietary trading firm.
  • Experience with the Indian financial services’ regulatory environment and rule implementation. Ability to think strategically and represent XTX India in interactions with regulators and Indian exchanges.
  • Experience with maintaining regulatory requirements and implementing them in a timely manner.
  • Experience of managing internal and external audits.
  • Experience with administering a Compliance Monitoring Program including conducting reviews, documenting results and compiling management information.
  • Ability to provide training and advice to the business regarding regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Ability to synthesize data, maintain detailed records and provide management reports.
  • Experience with automated trade surveillance monitoring, analysis and defining tests/parameters.
  • Experience with assessing and managing risk and internal control of broking.
  • Excellent communication skills: you will be required to regularly update the management, board of XTX India, the global XTX board, as well as other stakeholders in XTX’s global affiliates and representing XTX compliance team to other business units within the group.
  • Organized and detailed self-starter who thrives in a challenging environment while meeting goals and delivering results.
  • Prior experience with trade and transaction reporting obligations/compliance is desirable.

 

You will be expected to work full-time at least 4 days per week in our office located at Makers Maxity, 3 North Avenue, Mumbai, 400051. 1 day work from home possible once onboarded and approved.
