
Senior Manager, Payroll

Yext is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our growing team. Managing a team of 4, the Senior Manager, Payroll will be responsible for maintaining and operating the Company's payroll function, processes and systems, including global payroll, commissions payments, bonuses, payroll related taxes and certain business operations. The Senior Payroll Manager will partner and work closely with HR, Equity, and Finance teams. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this manager will be a true partner to the organization, always approaching work with a lens of adding value to the company.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, operate, and update payroll systems/processes on a daily basis
- Manage the payroll cycle for all Yext entities (international and domestic), including setting up international payroll for new international entities and integrating acquired companies
- Coach, support, and develop talent within the team; manage team members’ growth and career trajectory and scale the team by sharing opportunities for increased effectiveness and efficiency while also identifying the key barriers for success
- Continue build out and development of India Operations Center team
- Support and review commissions payments, processes and functions as needed
- Ensure bonuses/commissions/variable pay earnings are accurate and on-time for the sales teams in line with current compensation plans
- Investigate and drive resolution to payroll questions from Finance and HR teams
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, SOX, and external laws and regulations guidance
- Provide monthly analysis and report on payroll related metrics
- Work with Equity & Tax teams to ensure tax calculations for equity-based compensation awards are prepared, reviewed, and timely submitted to payroll for processing
- Have a commitment to improve processes and reengineer current systems to build efficient and scalable payroll processes via effective partnerships with IT and HR Operations teams
What You Have
- BA/BS degree
- CPP professional designation
- 8+ years of Payroll experience,
- Experience with major Payroll and ERP systems (ADP, Workday, BDO, Netsuite),must have deep knowledge and experience working with payroll vendors and platform technologies
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
- Extremely strong communicator and project manager with a passion for employee experience and satisfaction.
- Detail oriented, deadline driven and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to comfortably interact with employees of all levels of experience and seniority, across the organization.
- Must be willing to travel internationally in support of India Operations Center

Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
Annual Base Pay Range
$111,600 - $207,500 USD
