Delivery Director
Overview
The Delivery Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and supporting multiple pods (teams) and their leaders, including Tech Leads and Engagement Leads. Acting as a leader of leaders, the Delivery Director mentors and coaches teams on Agile best practices, ensuring effective delivery and high-quality outcomes. They serve as a key technical escalation point for client issues and actively participate in client meetings to provide domain expertise. Partnering closely with Portfolio Managers and the Architecture group, the Delivery Director balances client expectations with team capacity to foster successful project delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and mentor multiple pods and their Tech and Engagement Leads.
- Coach teams on Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Serve as a direct escalation path for client issues and provide technical expertise during client meetings.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers before and after contract signing, to manage client expectations, set teams up for success.
- Work closely with the Architecture group to maintain a feedback loop on project progress and architectural alignment.
- Ensure delivery excellence across pods by fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in leadership roles managing multiple technical teams or pods.
- Strong background in Agile coaching and implementation.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop technical and engagement leads.
- Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Deep technical knowledge and ability to provide domain expertise during escalations.
- Experience collaborating with portfolio and architecture teams for project alignment.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing large-scale or complex software delivery projects.
- Familiarity with cross-functional team dynamics and remote team management.
- Prior experience in strategic planning and process improvement at the delivery level.
- Certifications in Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum Master).
- Background in consulting or client-facing technology services.

Zennify pay range
$160 - $190 USD
