Principal Consultant, Insurance

About the Role

The Principal Consultant, Insurance is a senior advisory leader who guides insurance executives through Salesforce Financial Services Cloud–enabled transformation. This role combines insurance industry fluency with deep Salesforce expertise to bring outside-in perspective, strategic clarity, and measurable business value to carriers, brokers, and insurance service organizations.

This is not an insurance subject-matter expert role, and it is not a delivery-only Salesforce position. The value of this role lies in translating Salesforce Financial Services Cloud capabilities into operating model change, executive-aligned roadmaps, and transformation strategies that insurance leaders cannot achieve through industry experience alone.

The ideal candidate speaks the language of insurance executives, understands their pain points instinctively, and brings differentiated value through experience advising clients on how Salesforce can modernize distribution, servicing, claims, data, and customer engagement. Approximately 70 percent of this role is client-billable across advisory, discovery, and strategic engagements.

What This Role Is

  • A senior Salesforce Financial Services Cloud advisory role
  • Executive-facing and strategy-led
  • Focused on shaping point of view, roadmaps, and transformation strategy
  • Designed to bring cross-client insight and pattern recognition to insurance leaders
  • A partner to Sales and Delivery in shaping opportunities and guiding outcomes

What This Role Is Not

  • A general insurance leadership or operations role
  • A claims, underwriting, or compliance SME position
  • A Salesforce delivery-only or project execution role
  • A general management consultant without Salesforce Financial Services Cloud depth

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead executive-level advisory engagements focused on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud strategy, transformation roadmaps, and value realization for insurance organizations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to insurance executives by translating Salesforce capabilities into clear business outcomes, tradeoffs, and operating model implications.
  • Define, present, and deliver Zennify’s Insurance point of view and strategic frameworks during pre-sales motions, discovery engagements, and advisory work.
  • Partner with Sales and Consulting leadership to shape opportunities, develop solution approaches, and guide executive conversations across new and existing insurance accounts.
  • Assess client needs and maturity to define Salesforce-enabled strategies grounded in insurance operations, regulatory context, and business priorities.
  • Lead strategic discovery workshops that align executive stakeholders, surface root challenges, and establish consensus around Salesforce-driven solutions.
  • Develop executive-ready deliverables including roadmaps, value cases, and decision frameworks that support confident client decision-making.
  • Identify recurring insurance challenges and collaborate with leadership to evolve insurance-specific offerings, accelerators, and advisory assets.
  • Contribute to thought leadership efforts including points of view, blogs, and white papers focused on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud in the insurance market.
  • Leverage Salesforce AI and data capabilities to help clients identify risk, improve decision-making, and modernize insurance processes.
  • Partner with Delivery leaders to ensure engagements remain grounded in client business objectives, success metrics, and value realization.

Required Qualifications

  • Deep working knowledge of insurance operations, terminology, and regulatory context, sufficient to engage confidently with senior insurance executives.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience leading Salesforce initiatives, with significant experience in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud for insurance organizations.
  • Demonstrated success advising insurance executives on Salesforce strategy, roadmap decisions, and transformation tradeoffs.
  • Experience shaping Salesforce-led transformation initiatives, including operating model alignment, process modernization, and data strategy.
  • Proven consulting experience leading client relationships, shaping engagements, and influencing outcomes at the executive level.
  • Ability to articulate a clear, opinionated point of view on how Salesforce Financial Services Cloud drives value in insurance organizations.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and align senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales efforts including solution shaping, estimation, and delivery strategy definition.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Delivery, and GTM teams in a remote-first environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 30 percent based on client needs.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience as a Principal Consultant, Solution Architect, or Advisory Lead focused on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.
  • Experience working with multiple insurance clients across carriers, brokers, or insurance service organizations.
  • Background in consulting or professional services organizations delivering Salesforce-led transformation.
  • Experience incorporating Salesforce AI, analytics, or automation into insurance transformation strategies.
The full compensation package is based on candidate's experience and certifications.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
