Role:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop efficient processes that accelerate deal closures while maintaining rigorous legal standards
- Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure that Zenoti and its customers are protected.
- Build and manage a team of commercial and procurement attorneys. Strategic sense to build a team, but tactical enough to execute on a day-to-day basis.
- Negotiate customer and partnership deals in collaboration with the global sales organization.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of all company legal templates, including our Order Forms, MSA, Privacy Policy, DPA, BAA.
- Stay up to date on changes in laws and regulations impacting the business and communicate to appropriate parties any changes to controls, policies and procedures.
- Evaluate risk factors impacting business decisions and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact Zenoti.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties, creating relationships based on trust.
- Willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and take on tasks both big and small. A collaborative approach with a low ego in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong sense of ownership, desire to make a cross-functional impact, eagerness to learn, and customer orientation.
- Address other ad-hoc or specialized legal issues.
Requirements:
- LLB and LLM degrees from an accredited school with 7+ years of experience negotiating SaaS agreements.
- 5+ years of experience managing a commercial legal team at a growth-focused SaaS company, healthcare IT preferred.
- Direct experience with a variety of legal matters, including complex commercial agreements, privacy documents (e.g., BAA, DPA), information security and compliance.
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and commercial matters.
- Strong track record of building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, with adaptable communication styles that strike the right balance between business risk-taking and safeguarding organizational interests.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of SaaS licensing agreements.
- Willingness to support colleagues across a range of time zones.
