THE ROLE 

Zeta Global is seeking astrategic, client-facing Directorto join our ZX Data Science & Analytics team. This role is ideal for an experienced analytics leader who excels at transforming complex data into compelling narratives, influencing client strategy, and driving measurable business outcomes. 

The Director will serve as a trusted analytics partner to clients and internal teams, bringing together marketing measurement, advanced analytics, media strategy, and data storytelling to make insights actionable. This individual will also help scale analytics best practices across clients and categories, strengthen partnerships with Sales and cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continued evolution of ZX Analytics solutions and measurement products. 

This position reports to the VP of Data Science & Analytics. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead with Storytelling: Translate complex analytics and media performance into clear, persuasive narratives that connect insights to client business priorities and inspire action. 
  • Shape Client Strategy: Develop analytics approaches aligned with client objectives, using insights to inform acquisition, retention, lifetime value, media, and optimization strategies. Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to clients and internal partners 
  • Drive Measurement Excellence: Apply and advocate for best-in-class measurement methodologies, including Test/Holdout-based incrementality measurement. Help clients and internal teams understand the strengths, limitations, and business implications of different measurement approaches. 
  • Scale Best Practices:Identify learnings across clients, campaigns, and categories and translate them into repeatable best practices, frameworks, and recommendations that improve the quality and consistency of analytics deliverables. 
  • Team Leadership: manage and develop a team of analysts, including coaching, onboarding, workload prioritization, performance management, feedback, recognition, and career development. Mentor mid-level analysts in both technical and client-facing skills. 
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Serve as analytics lead and subject matter expert for select strategic initiatives, helping define solutions, align stakeholders, and move work from concept through implementation. 
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner effectively with Sales, Client Services, Client Development, Operations, and other teams to solve client challenges, improve processes, and deliver high-quality analytics solutions with limited senior leadership intervention. 
  • Innovate with AI: Support the development, application, and adoption of predictive and adaptive ML/AI solutions, helping translate model outputs into clear business recommendations and client value. 

 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • 10+ years of professional experiencein analytics, marketing measurement, data science, media analytics, or a related discipline, with demonstrated progression in responsibility and client impact. 
  • Proven ability totranslate complex analytics into compelling stories and actionable recommendationsfor client and business audiences. 
  • Strong client-facing experience with excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to command an audience and serve as a model for effective client communication 
  • 3+ years in analytics leadership roles, ideally with team management experience.  
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more analytics, measurement, media, or industry domains, with the ability to share knowledge and elevate the capabilities of others. 
  • Working familiarity withPython, SQL, Tableau or comparable analytical and visualization tools, as well as experience working with predictive analytics and/or ML/AI models 
  • Ability to operate independently, make sound decisions in support of clients and the business, give and receive feedback effectively, and challenge existing approaches constructively 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or related fields.  
  • Experience in Retail, Financial Services, Telecom, or Travel verticals is a plus. 

This is a remote role based out of the United States.

SALARY RANGE   

The compensation range for this role is $170,000-$190,000 depending on location and experience.
