Quality Assurance Engineer

CPI Security in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven QA Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role will focus on building and executing robust testing strategies for our Salesforce Customer 360 implementation, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, CPQ, Field Service, ERP and integrations with backend systems via AWS. You’ll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing automated and manual test scripts to support regression, end-to-end, and smoke testing. Working on a small but agile and high-impact team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our enterprise systems that support both customer and internal user experiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and automated scripts for Salesforce Customer 360 features including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, CPQ, Field Service, ERP.
  • Design and execute end-to-end, regression, and smoke test scenarios across front-end, middleware, and backend systems.
  • Validate data integrations between Salesforce platforms and AWS-based services, including API validation, data flows, and error handling.
  • Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Salesforce Admins, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to understand functional requirements and system architecture.
  • Perform thorough defect triage, log issues clearly in tools such as Jira, and follow up through resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve quality practices.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks, where applicable, and work to increase automation coverage over time.
  • Assist in setting up test environments, data conditioning, and system monitoring relevant to QA processes.
  • Provide QA documentation and status reporting on test progress, defect status, and risks to delivery timelines.
  • Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, with a proven ability to dissect complex problems and develop innovative, data-driven solutions.

 What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA Engineering with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with Salesforce testing, specifically across Customer 360 components (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, CPQ, Agentforce).
  • Knowledge of AWS-based integrations and ability to test data flows between cloud systems and Salesforce.
  • Strong skills in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
  • Proficiency in using testing and project management tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with API testing, web services (REST/SOAP), and backend systems validations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
