SeekWell is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our accounting team. In this dynamic role, your primary focus will be on managing the General Ledger for our glasses business, The Framery, and overseeing the Inventory Process for both the 1-800 Contacts business and The Framery, including glasses manufacturing. From preparing journal entries, reconciliations and managing a team, this critical role has both external and internal facing elements.

What you’ll do

  • Advanced accounting management, including managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Oversee Inventory accounting, including standard costing, inventory reserves, cycle counts, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis
  • Revenue and expense accounting and interpretation and application of accounting guidance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, controls, and system functionality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, FP&A, People and IT
  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
  • Other accounting tasks assigned

What you'll need

  • Hybrid; Ability to work in office (Draper, UT) every Tuesday/Thursday
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, including people management
  • Strong GAAP expertise with strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end/quarter-end close, and account reconciliations
  • NetSuite proficiency a plus including GL, inventory modules, reporting, and saved searches
  • Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or process enhancements a plus
  • Experience coordinating external audits and responding to auditor requests
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor accounting staff
  • Experience establishing standardized processes and improving close efficiency
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with operations, manufacturing, and FP&A
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred reflecting strong technical foundation and professional judgment

United States Remote Salary Range

$103 - $115 USD
