Founding Growth Marketer (Propel People)

Remote US

About Us

Propel People is an AI-powered construction recruiting platform transforming how skilled trades are hired.

We help small and mid-sized trade contractors fill roles faster by automating job distribution, scoring resumes, and streamlining candidate communication. Our mission is simple: give hiring managers tools that actually save time and help them connect with qualified tradespeople, fast.

We’re growing fast, backed by 1848 Ventures, and on a mission to build the future of hiring in the trades. If you’re excited about construction tech, workforce innovation, and being part of a high-energy startup team—let’s talk.

The Opportunity

At Propel People, we’re transforming how the skilled trades hire—bringing modern, AI-powered solutions to the construction industry, a sector long underserved by traditional HR tech. Backed by 1848 Ventures, we’re an early-stage startup born within a venture studio that’s dedicated to solving real-world problems for real businesses.

As our Growth Marketer, you’ll be a core part of the founding team driving go-to-market strategy, validating demand, and shaping the Propel brand. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic marketing, creative storytelling, AI-enabled execution, and data-driven experimentation. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with the Propel People team to test early hypotheses, build repeatable growth engines, and reach the construction leaders who need us most.

This is a hands-on role for a full-stack growth marketer who can think strategically and execute tactically across digital, content, and community channels.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with the Propel People team to design and execute experimentation plans that test value propositions, messaging, and channel-market fit.
  • Build and manage high-converting landing pages and microsites using Webflow, tailored to customer segments and campaign goals.
  • Develop an annual growth marketing strategy delivering an efficient, scalable and profitable product-led growth funnel targeting Propel’s existing or future ICP personas.
  • Ideate, create, and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns to generate highly-qualified inbound leads for Propels’ sales team to nurture and convert into sales.
  • Lead paid digital acquisition directly in Google, Meta, LinkedIn and other paid media platforms, while partnering with agency partners to scale efficient customer acquisition.
  • Develop upper-funnel cold outreach, and lead generation campaigns that increase awareness, trust, and engagement with Propel People brand across all channels.
  • Own execution, reporting, and KPI tracking in HubSpot, including list management, workflows, segmentation, lead scoring, and campaign reporting.
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO, Grammarly, etc.) to streamline content production and marketing automation.
  • Plan and produce organic content (social posts, articles, newsletters) that educates, builds trust, and drives engagement—especially on LinkedIn and trade channels.
  • Partner with industry associations to co-create content, host webinars, and activate their member networks.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers to scale campaign production, design assets, and media buying.
  • Analyze performance using Google Analytics, Hotjar, HubSpot, and other tools—continuously iterating based on data.
  • Contribute to our content marketing engine, creating playbooks, customer stories, how-tos, and resources that resonate with field-based users.
  • Explore and test creative growth loops (referrals, incentives, viral content, events) to drive bottom-up adoption.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in growth marketing or demand generation, ideally in B2B SaaS, startup, or venture studio environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot—from automation and email to analytics and lead lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in paid media (Google, Meta), SEO, and organic social (especially LinkedIn).
  • Experience working with agencies, designers, and content partners in fast-moving environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools and a willingness to integrate them into your daily workflow.
  • Comfortable with Webflow, Figma, Canva, or similar tools to edit or guide design development.
  • Proven track record of creating high-performing content across blog, social, email, and ad channels.
  • Analytical mindset—comfortable with A/B testing, funnel analysis, and KPI reporting.
  • Experience working with or marketing through industry associations, trade groups, or partner ecosystems.
  • Strong communicator with excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and energized by building something new from the ground up.

You Might Be a Great Fit If....

  • You’re curious, experimental, and energized by early-stage ambiguity.
  • You love building growth strategies that are measurable, scalable, and creative.
  • You see AI as a force multiplier, not a threat—and you’re eager to test new tools and workflows.
  • You’re excited to serve a hardworking, often-overlooked audience: construction contractors and tradespeople.
  • You want to be part of a mission-driven venture solving a real hiring crisis in the skilled trades.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
