What We Need
We are seeking a Director of Product to lead our investment in AI-driven tools and infrastructure for game development and publishing operations.
This role will focus on enabling studios with AI tools to accelerate and streamline game development, and establishing a structured learning framework to share insights across teams. Over time, this leader will help define and implement broader AI strategy, which may include centralized tooling and infrastructure in support of gameplay innovation and novel applications in live ops and customer insights.
This is a highly strategic, cross-functional role requiring deep knowledge of product management, AI technologies, and game development workflows. You will be shaping the future of AI-powered game development at a leading AAA publisher, collaborating with designers, engineers, and AI researchers to apply groundbreaking technology to development challenges. The ideal candidate is passionate about bridging technology and creative teams, to make AI an empowering force for the business.
What You’ll Do
Lead the discovery and evaluation of AI tools that accelerate development, increase studio and publishing efficiency, and unlock new creative avenues for our teams. You will establish processes to assess AI tool effectiveness and evangelize best practices.
Own and evolve the AI product roadmap. You will balance near-term unlocks with broader opportunities to centralize AI tooling and infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineering, data science, and external partners to assess build vs. buy decisions and drive successful integrations.
Align the organization around longer-term AI strategy. You will evolve 2K's tools, processes, culture, and technical organizations to better serve players, the business, and the creative vision of our studios. You will partner with a diverse array of stakeholders to navigate ethical considerations, regulatory requirements, and player expectations.
As the team grows, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
What Will Make You a Great Fit

8+ years of product management experience, ideally in AI, video games, or creative tool development. Performs at both the strategic and tactical levels, driving immediate value while laying the groundwork for long-term outcomes.

Deep and current understanding of AI applications in game development, including generative AI, procedural content generation, and automation. Experience partnering with engineering, platform, data science, and creative teams to develop and integrate AI solutions.

Deft communicator, able to build trust and influence executives, studios, and technology teams around a shared vision.

Solid understanding of AAA game development workflows (art, animation, engineering, production, etc.).

Track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable impact.

Entrepreneurial, curious and driven. Capable of thriving in an environment of high-velocity change and emerging structure.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $155,800 and $230,560 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
