The IT and Security teams build, monitor and maintain their corporate and production infrastructure that their fans need to play their games. They are experts in systems, networks, cloud technology and security. Their teams maintain the enterprise and development technology stacks that run their company and support their gamers. What We Need:

2K is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and personable Game Security Data Analyst who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment and is looking to push the boundaries of our Anti-Cheat, Anti-Piracy and Anti-Toxicity efforts to join our globally growing security team.

Reporting to the Director of Game Security, the successful candidate will be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, communicate with our game studios as well as security vendors.

You will help us keep our games fair and inclusive by analyzing cheat tools and review game and anti-cheat telemetry. As a passionate gamer you care about the gaming community and ensure that players have the best experience possible.

Equally important to technical skills is the collaboration with game teams and analytic teams across the label.

 

Your profile and expertise

  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Pipeline and database automation
  • Build alerts based on telemetry data
  • Deep understanding of data transformation, enrichment
  • Build dashboards in BI tools
  • Data labelling
  • Appeal review to fine-tune ML models

 

What you will do

  • Analyze cheats and game exploits
  • Automate our telemetry-based system
  • Investigations and execution of interventions to combat exploitive behaviors
  • Threat hunting and helping create, review and action alerts
  • Create scripts to enrich telemetry data with third party APIs
  • Aggregate data for meaningful reports and dashboards

 

What Will Make You A Great Fit:

  • Analytical thinking to find patterns in telemetry data
  • Able to work well with data analyst and software development teams
  • Understanding of Lamda services, PostgreSQL databases / Aurora and Snowflake
  • Excellent and professional communication skills in English (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner

 

Nice To Have:

  • Technical familiarity with tools used to: cheat, manipulate the memory of a Windows application, or analyze network traffic
  • NBA 2K and / or other competitive live service title game master
  • Understanding of Windows binaries and processes
