What We Need
We are looking for a Senior Director of Technical Infrastructure to lead the teams that provide the technical foundation underpinning all of 2K’s games. This position will supervise the teams responsible for the services that provide the basic building blocks of the infrastructure. These services include data centers, networking, storage, virtualization, and Identity and Access Management functions. The infrastructure team also provides developer-facing services for code management and custom build environments.
A key aspect of this role is fostering “Infrastructure As A Service” across development studios and publishing partners. This will require extensive partnerships to develop solutions that are tailored to the specific business needs while striving for self-service solutions and automation to support efficiency and scalability.
We need a senior-level, business-savvy technology leader who can balance strategic, transformative thinking with hands-on expertise. The successful candidate will be adept at navigating complexity, and clear communications while driving continuous improvement, and scaling operations with a global attitude.
What You Will Do
Infrastructure & Operations Leadership
● Be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data centers, servers, networks, and systems supporting our globally distributed online games.
● Define a clear vision for infrastructure architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across our environments.
● Build and lead a globally distributed team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to ensure excellence in operations.
Platform Management
● Lead the setup, configuration, and continuous improvement of cloud and on-premise core services (e.g., IAM, networking, connectivity) to support game teams in development and production.
● Create and optimize processes for infrastructure provisioning, organizational change, and release cycles, reducing operational friction and increasing throughput.
Strategic & multi-functional Partnership
● Work closely with senior leadership, studio partners, and product teams to forecast and plan for future infrastructure requirements.
● Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on how technology solutions and innovations in infrastructure can drive growth and improve player experiences.
● Align with finance and procurement teams to lead budgets, optimize infrastructure spending, and communicate cost-benefit analyses for technology investments.
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit
● Validated Infrastructure Leader: 8+ years in technology operations with proven experience running large-scale online or cloud-based environments.
● Team Builder & Mentor: History of hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing, globally distributed teams in a 24x7x365 environment.
● Technical Depth & Breadth: Thorough understanding of data center operations, cloud services, networking, and security.
● Operational Excellence: Experience developing metrics-driven processes to measure availability, performance, cost, and risk, strongly focusing on continuous improvement.
● Strategic Visionary & Hands-On: Proven ability to balance long-term strategy with the technical savvy to operate at a tactical level when necessary.
● Collaborative Communicator: Skilled at building multi-functional relationships, influencing customers, and presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $221,100 and $327,240 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
