Founded in 2023, 2K Sports Lab is the newest stand alone studio at 2K looking to push game development boundaries to bring 2K's next groundbreaking sports franchise to life. What We Need:
Our studio is looking for a Producer to partner with Sr. Producers on the team and who sets a high quality bar, values efficiency, productivity and the satisfaction that comes from helping a team do their best work. We’re seeking someone who is passionate about building games and has the ability to inspire teams to strive for excellence. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with exceptional organizational and communication skills, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
What You Will Do:
Your core responsibilities will be to help to ensure timely and efficient delivery of a game area. You will:

Partner with design and tech peers to ensure the impact and quality of established goals and deliverables for your group

Make it your business to become well versed in the features being built for the game which will allow you to run your sub-team and appropriately prioritize the team’s work in partnership with designers.

Project Manage your group

Align with the Producer lead to iterate on and develop structure and workflows in Jira and other project management tools such as Flow

Work with the team to help coordinate, focus, prioritize and track progress

Ensure roadblocks for the team are removed

Decompose long term efforts into incremental steps, planning and communicating road maps and risks to all stakeholders

Drive effective process within your group

Work with multi-disciplinary teams of designers, engineers and artists to establish, prioritize, plan and deliver on short term and long term goals for the project

Drive alignment, resolve ambiguity, and clarify technical and design strategy to improve your impact

Partner with a senior producer to build, enhance Jira workflow and tools, evaluate and add plugins that will help streamline either workflows or reports and dashboards

Manage the structure and morale of your team in collaboration with your team leads

Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve your team's objectives

Work with dev team (internal) stakeholders and across partner teams (external) as needed to share vision, resolve dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of feature inputs and requirements

You will play the game. Through understanding our game, you will be able to gauge the quality of completed deliverables against the intended quality targets
Who Will Be A Great Fit:

2-3 years of game production experience
-
Has completed at least 1 full game development cycle from pre-production to shipping
-
Understands that great teams make great games – focuses on healthy team culture and understands how to strengthen team dynamics

Organized, excellent communication skills, highly collaborative, open minded and has a tendency to be curious

Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.

Passion for games and cares deeply about product quality – is not purely focused on just task management

Excellent problem solver with a high degree of common sense

Experience setting clear goals, planning and delivering features with cross functional teams and multiple competing requirements

Excellent project management capabilities, documentation, tracking and visibility

Attention to detail and completeness, ability to see around corners, anticipate issues

Strong understanding of technical concepts - has the skill to work with engineers and understand technical implications of their work - the “why” behind what they are doing, not just the “what”

Project management training in Scrum or other agile framework
-
Very strong experience with Jira and Flow / Shotgrid - not just using an established framework, but also able to build workflows, work with and learn new plug-ins and assist with tooling within those tools

Experience in project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
-
Excellent at cultivating positive working relationships with internal partners and development teams.

An engineering background would be an asset

The pay range for this position in British Columbia at the start of employment is expected to be between $71,400 and $105,660 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
