What We Need

The Manager of Performance & Planning is Cat Daddy’s primary steward of financial health and operational excellence. Sitting at the crossroads of strategy, finance, and studio operations, you will be the primary stakeholder in the P&L, guide budgeting and forecasting, and help build high‑impact investment decisions that accelerate growth while safeguarding profitability. You are equally comfortable in the weeds of a spreadsheet and in executive meetings articulating a vision for sustainable scale.

This is an in-person role, based in Kirkland, WA.

What You Will Do

Studio Business Optimization

  • Lead studio annual budgeting, quarterly re‑forecasts, and real‑time variance analysis to ensure the studio meets or exceeds plan

  • Systems and service oversight related to project allocation and reporting

  • Serve as the internal finance partner to production, live‑ops, marketing, and central tech teams, translating financial insights into actionable plans

  • Solve urgent business questions: player lifetime value (LT, pricing scenarios, cost‑benefit trade‑offs, providing clear, data‑backed recommendations

  • Educate non‑finance partners, build tools & dashboards, and cultivate a culture of financial ownership across the studio

  • Act as Cat Daddy’s finance ambassador to 2K and Take Two; ensure flawless consolidation, reporting accuracy, and alignment of strategic objectives

Program Performance Oversight & Planning

  • Evaluate and manage major spend requests and perform return on investment analyses on key projects, events, and initiatives

  • Evaluate new growth opportunities (game features, platform expansion, partnerships) for strategic fit and financial viability

  • Set, forecast, and track studio‑wide targets; facilitate alignment sessions to drive accountability against targets

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or business operations, ideally within gaming, technology, or entertainment

  • Proven ownership of a full P&L (>$50 M) and expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

  • Strong analytical toolkit: Excel/Google Sheets wizardry, experience with BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI) and SQL familiarity

  • Shown ability to influence senior leaders and cross‑functional teams through clear communication and financial data story‑telling

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Economics, or a quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree.

  • Experience in free‑to‑play mobile games or live‑service content businesses is a plus!

  • Comfortable navigating publisher/developer relationships and distributed studio structures.

  • A passion for video games!

The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $123,200 and $182,360 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
