What We Need
2K's Research & Insights Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Research & Insights to be a key leader in our organization, shaping and scaling UX research strategy for 2K’s PC & console game portfolio. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and experienced people leader who is passionate about understanding player behavior, needs, and motivations. In this role, you will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performing research team and guiding 2K’s UX research strategy for our core franchises, with a focus on providing 2K with world-class research capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Work with the research leadership team to level up our organization's ‘research craft excellence’ initiatives
- Build and manage a team of high performing researchers to help shape 2K’s game portfolio across multiple distributed sites (consumer insights & ux research)
- Establish, socialize and implement research strategy, methods, and measurement, with a focus on research impact across the business
- Support team members in setting professional goals and developing personalized career growth plans, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
- Build relationships with development studios and publishing partners.
- Support and advise research leads in developing research roadmaps and strategy, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals
What Will Make You A Great Fit
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in UX research, with at least 2 years in a leadership or people management role
- Familiar with the video game lifecycle and direct experience working with both development and publishing teams shipping AA & AAA PC & console games
- Experience with conducting research on new & emerging technologies and IP
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Preference for Candidates with…
- Graduate degree (MA, PhD or other advanced degree) in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills, with bonus points for experience with quantitative / statistical software (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, Q, Python, Tableau)
- Expertise in accessibility, inclusion, and representation in games
- Experience working in a global, enterprise-scale organization and/or in a client-facing or B2B role, with a customer service mentality
- Exceptional emotional intelligence with a demonstrated ability to coach diverse teams through the product lifecycle
