Position Summary
The Sr. Manager of Social Media & Digital Content is responsible for defining and executing the operational strategy for NBA 2K’s social channels. This role translates high-level marketing objectives into actionable channel strategies, content plans, and measurable KPIs. Leading a team of managers and specialists, the Sr. Manager ensures all owned assets meet brand standards and best-known methods (BKMs) while providing deep audience insights to inform broader marketing and creative decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Channel Strategy: Define and document comprehensive social media strategies and objectives aligned with the overarching brand vision.
- Performance Management: Set social-specific KPIs and develop monthly reports and post-mortems to track growth, engagement, and ROI.
- Content Planning: Define content plans and objectives, ensuring a consistent and high-quality output across all owned platforms.
- Insight Generation: Provide actionable audience and channel insights to the broader marketing team to optimize messaging and reach.
- Quality Control: Review and approve all owned social assets, ensuring strict adherence to 2K’s BKMs, brand safety guidelines, and strategic goals.
- Integrated Execution: Develop integrated social rollout plans and "Run of Show" documents in close partnership with Community and Influencer workstreams.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 2–5 direct reports, overseeing their daily workflows and professional development.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements within the social team to streamline asset creation and deployment.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to partner with Brand, Product, Community, Influencer, Creative and Production teams to ensure a unified social presence.
- Team Management: Skilled in directing the work of others, providing clear feedback, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of social media platform algorithms, publishing tools, and emerging digital trends.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Job-Related Skills
- Significant experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategy.
- Prior experience in a management or supervisory role (Direct reports: 2–5).
- Expert-level understanding of social media platforms (Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and their respective audiences.
- Proven ability to create detailed execution plans and "Run of Shows" for major product beats or launches.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate raw data into executive-level summaries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the gaming, sports or entertainment industry.
- Proficiency with social listening and analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Meltwater, or similar).
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $150,400 and $222,580 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits. Details of participation in compensation and benefit plans (if applicable) will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an ~at-will position~ and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
