Lead Product Manager (G3), Offsite Media

SUMMARY:  

The Lead Product Manager, Offsite Media will shape the future of Kroger Precision Marketing’s offsite advertising capabilities—driving innovation, scale, and performance across programmatic display, paid social, CTV, and emerging media channels. This role sits at the convergence of media strategy, data science, and product development, focused on delivering high-impact, omnichannel campaign solutions that reach Kroger shoppers wherever they spend time online. 

You’ll lead the charge in building user-centric, performance-driven solutions that unlock investment from advertisers. From audience targeting & activation to measurement & optimization, you’ll develop the product strategy & roadmap to evolve our offsite offering into a best-in-class media product suite that integrates seamlessly with the Kroger Ad Platform (KAP) and aligns with our full-funnel retail media vision. 

This is a high-impact role for a media-savvy product leader who understands the nuances of offsite activation and thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

🧭 Product Discovery & Solution Design 

  • Partner with stakeholders across media activation, analytics, and engineering to define product requirements rooted in campaign objectives, user workflows & media outcomes 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline advertiser experiences for launching offsite campaigns across programmatic, social, and emerging media 
  • Translate media planning and buying complexity into intuitive user workflows for both managed service and self-service users 
  • Conduct user research & feedback loops with internal teams and partners to inform scalable solutions that drive performance 

🗺️ Roadmap Execution & Delivery 

  • Own the offsite media roadmap and ensure alignment with broader platform & portfolio strategy 
  • Break down roadmap initiatives into actionable user stories & requirements with clear acceptance criteria 
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming & stakeholder alignment to ensure timely, quality delivery 
  • Act as product owner within Agile squads to resolve blockers, prioritize enhancements, and ensure execution excellence 

🔁 Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with channel owners (e.g., Meta, TTD, Yahoo) and internal teams to launch & scale new offsite formats 
  • Partner with Data Science & Measurement teams to embed audience & performance insights into media activation workflows 
  • Integrate shared services (audiences, budgets, measurement, creative) into offsite media capabilities 
  • Support commercialization & go-to-market efforts with Strategy, Sales, & Operations teams 

📊 Measure & Optimize 

  • Define KPIs that reflect media efficacy, operational efficiency & advertiser satisfaction 
  • Use VOC and performance data to refine product features and prioritize investments 
  • Drive enhancements to reporting, targeting, and optimization tools to improve ROI and unlock incremental spend 

 

SCOPE OF IMPACT: 

Team-Level 

  • Lead prioritization and execution of the Offsite Media product backlog 
  • Balance innovation with technical enablement and foundational capabilities 
  • Ensure team is clear on objectives, scope & success criteria 

Product-Level 

  • Develop & evangelize a clear product strategy for Offsite Media within the Kroger Ad Platform ecosystem 
  • Ensure advertiser experiences are consistent across media types, while tailored to the strengths of each channel 
  • Identify & unlock high-impact use cases (e.g., paid social amplification, lookalike modeling, new-to-brand acquisition) 

Program-Level 

  • Contribute to the unified Retail Media Platform vision by integrating offsite media into omnichannel experiences 
  • Partner across product domains (e.g., audiences, reporting, optimization) to ensure modular, reusable services 
  • Influence roadmap alignment across internal teams and external partners to deliver holistic campaign capabilities 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3–5+ years of product management experience, ideally within AdTech, DSPs, programmatic media, or performance marketing 
  • Strong understanding of digital media buying & planning workflows, especially for offsite/programmatic activation 
  • Experience launching or scaling media products across DSPs, ad servers, social platforms, or CTV 
  • Ability to simplify complexity—translating advertiser needs into clear product solutions with measurable outcomes 
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort using KPIs, dashboards, and feedback to inform prioritization 
  • Confident navigating ambiguous environments with changing priorities 
  • Technical fluency in platform architecture, APIs, and integrations 
  • Strong collaboration & communication skills with the ability to influence without authority 
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Figma, Confluence, Productboard, or equivalent

Pay Transparency and Benefits

  • The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest.  Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.

Pay Range

$91,000 - $218,750 USD
