Role Overview

We are seeking a People Business Partner (HRBP) to support our growing London office and broader European footprint. This position will partner with multiple levels of leadership to develop, influence, and execute people strategies and programs that enable our ambitious growth.

In addition, this role will work closely with our Talent Acquisition team to drive hiring excellence, workforce planning, and a compelling talent brand in London and across Europe.

You will act as a trusted advisor in areas such as leadership and career development, performance management, organizational design, employee relations, and engagement. As we continue to expand our European footprint, opportunity to assume larger people leadership role for the region.

This role will be based in our London office. Ideal candidates should be local to London, with the flexibility to work remotely 1–2 days per week, blending the best of both worlds for efficiency and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with senior leaders and people managers in London to translate business strategy into a clear people agenda that supports growth, performance, and culture.
  • Work closely with our Talent Acquisition partners to align on workforce plans and hiring priorities for London and broader Europe
  • Advise, coach, and influence management on all things people-related, including: performance management, learning and development, coaching, career pathing, employee relations, succession planning, compensation, organizational development and scaling, training, culture, diversity & inclusion, and employee engagement
  • Build and foster trusting partnerships with dedicated internal clients, acting as a single point of contact, coach, partner, and confidant to senior leaders, people managers, employees across the entire employee lifecycle
  • Champion and embed our culture and core values

You Have:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, including direct partnership with senior leaders.
  • Experience working in a high-growth or scaling environment, ideally where people processes and infrastructure were evolving
  • Ideally have experience in Consulting, Finance or Private Equity
  • You are hungry, bright, and positive; you demonstrate great judgment and are proactive
  • Familiarity with UK employment practices; experience supporting other European markets is a plus
  • You act as an ambassador of our core values
  • A data-informed approach: comfort using people data and metrics to inform decisions, recommendations, and storytelling.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Broad experience and specific knowledge of organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement, learning, and performance management

The types of personal data that Accordion has about you

In connection with your application for work with us, we will collect, store, and use the information you have provided to us in your CV and covering letter; the information you have provided on your application form, including name, title, address, telephone number, personal email address, date of birth, employment history, qualifications; and any information you provide to us during an interview. We may also collect, store and use the following "special categories" of more sensitive personal data, including information about your race or ethnicity, health and disability status, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and political opinions.

How Accordion will use your personal data

Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of managing Accordion’s recruitment related activities, which include setting up and conducting interviews and tests for applicants, evaluating and assessing the results thereto, and as is otherwise needed in the recruitment and hiring processes. Our lawful basis for using your information in this way under Art. 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) as necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Accordion, which are the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of applicants for employment. We will use information about your health and disability status to consider whether we need to provide appropriate adjustments during the recruitment process, for example whether adjustments need to be made. We will use information about your race or national or ethnic origin, religious, philosophical or moral beliefs, or your sexual life or sexual orientation, to ensure meaningful equal opportunity monitoring and reporting. If you fail to provide personal data

Who Accordion shares your personal data with

Your personal data has been shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Accordion to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Accordion’s behalf. Your personal data may also be shared with other Accordion group companies, service providers, professional advisors, regulatory bodies, courts or government departments and agencies, where their use is consistent with the purposes set out in this privacy policy or as required by law. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred outside of the UK or the European Economic Area, including to the United States and India, and in particular to Accordion Partners LLC, and its subsidiaries, along with Accordion Partners India PVT LTD. Because the European Union Commission has determined that United States and India’s data privacy laws do not ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data collected from EU data subjects, the transfer will be subject to appropriate additional safeguards under either the standard contractual clauses or another recognised safeguard such as the Data Privacy Framework. How long Accordion keeps your personal data

Successful applicants: If your application for employment or engagement is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to our HR management system and retained during your employment in accordance with our staff privacy policy. Your information will remain in Greenhouse for up to four years.

Unsuccessful applicants: If your application for employment or engagement is unsuccessful, we will hold your data on file for 6 months after the end of the relevant recruitment process in order to enable Accordion to comply with any legal obligations or for the exercise or defence of legal claims (subject to any applicable legal or regulatory obligations to retain such information for a longer period).

It is likely that we will wish to retain your data for a further period of 6 months (from the end of the initial 6 months after the end of the recruitment process) on the basis that a further opportunity may arise in the future and we may wish to consider you for that. If you do not want us to keep your data for this purpose, please let us know by contacting us at privacy@accordion.com . At the end of that period (or if you withdraw your consent prior to this) we will securely destroy your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In the event that any court actions or other legal proceedings are pending or impending, personal data will be deleted after termination of the court action or legal proceeding as appropriate.

Automated decision-making

You will not be subject to decisions that will have a significant impact on you based solely on automated decision-making.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have rights relating to your personal data in certain circumstances. These are the right to request access to your personal data, to request that your personal data be rectified or erased, and to request that processing of your personal data be restricted or to object to the processing. You also have the right to data portability and to withdraw your consent if that is the lawful basis being relied upon to process your personal data. In addition, you may lodge a complaint with an EU supervisory authority (list here). The UK supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner (here).
