FP&A Internship
Position Overview:
AccuWeather is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to learn how finance drives decision-making in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Support monthly financial reporting and variance analysis against budget and prior periods
- Analyze revenue, expenses, and key business drivers to identify trends and insights
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel to support strategic initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Legal) to gather data and support business cases
- Help automate and improve financial reporting processes and dashboards
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and presentations for senior leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of financial planning and analysis activities
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling)
- Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or coursework in corporate finance or FP&A
