Acumen Academy is looking for a Summer Associate (8 to 10 week paid internship), with strong analytics skills to support the work of our Acumen Academy’s team. This role will report to Acumen Academy’s Manager. Acumen currently works in a hybrid model and people are in the NYC office Tuesday - Thursday.

About the Role 
The Summer Associate will play a key role in supporting the launch of a new community platform for the Foundry. This platform will serve as the main space for alumni to access content, community, and communication from Acumen Academy.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is excited about building community and can work effectively with regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders to build the systems and processes for a smooth and successful launch. 

Specifically, the Summer Associate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing FAQs, training material, and user guides for the training and onboarding plan for colleagues and Foundry members.
  2. Supporting the driving of the training and onboarding plan for colleagues and Foundry members. 
  3. Supporting the implementation, tracking, and analysis of the marketing campaign for the platform launch.
  4. Managing the ‘help’ inbox during the launch, troubleshooting user issues, and escalating them to the relevant team members.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn new skills, procedures, and systems quickly without being afraid to ask questions
  • Ability to multitask, and work in an agile environment
  • Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, Airtable, and/or Slack or community platform is a plus
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication, and proactive in raising any issues, challenges 
  • Enthusiastic about building relationships, supporting users and fostering inclusivity.
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Preferred: background or current studies in business administration or international development. 
  • In pursuit of a graduate (preferred) or undergraduate degree and/or prior experience launching a platform for a community 
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones
  • Self-reflective and aligned with Acumen values
  • Must be in New York for the duration of this internship 
  • Permanently authorized to work in the US

The Summer Associate role will be based in NY and receive a weekly stipend of $750 for graduate students and $700 for undergraduate students.
