The Role

Part of the broader Addepar Data organization, you will be the primary authority on the operational administration and integrity of market data. This is a transformative leadership mandate: we are looking for an architect to take full ownership of the role, build the team, and evolve our market data operations into a best-in-class function that supports $8T+ in platform assets.

What You’ll Do

  • Build & Transform: You are responsible for designing the roadmap for Market Data operations. You will lead, train, and mentor a high-performing team, turning the function into a center of excellence that balances technical integrity with commercial agility.
  • Mentorship: Actively upskill the team in complex licensing frameworks and data observability, ensuring every team member is an expert in the "Addepar way" of data management.
  • Ownership: Take end-to-end accountability for the "who, what, and how" of data access, ensuring we stay ahead of audit requirements and vendor evolutions.
  • Access Architecture: Manage and audit user access to market data (internal and external benchmark and market data) ensuring strict adherence to complex redistribution scenarios and vendor-specific restrictions.
  • Audit Command: Lead the preparation and delivery of usage audits back to licensors, ensuring 100% compliance with all contractual clauses.
  • Pipeline Supervision: Oversee daily market data pipeline workflows to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of pricing and reference data feeds.
  • Data Quality Ownership: Perform internal verification checks to ensure data integrity (FX rates, corporate actions) and resolve exceptions to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Compliance Framework: Maintain a Rights Management framework to monitor data implementation and usage, ensuring all derived content follows vendor terms of use.
  • KPI & Metrics: Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) through automated dashboards to demonstrate operational health and team growth.

Who You Are

  • The Builder Mindset: 8+ years in financial data operations with a proven track record of leading teams and building processes from the ground up.
  • Domain Authority: Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments, benchmarks, and market data feeds, paired with a nuanced understanding of global licensing requirements.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Expert knowledge of redistribution scenarios, competitor restrictions, and the legal implications of client data usage.
  • Technical Proficiency: Fluent in SQL and data analysis tools to monitor feeds and troubleshoot processing exceptions.
  • Analytical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of managing high-stakes audits and data validations.
  • Vendor specific knowledge: eg. ICE, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Morningstar, S&P, MSCI, etc will be highly preferred

Important Note: This role requires working from our Pune office 3 days a week (hybrid work model)

The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to ta-operations@addepar.com.
