Sr. Project Manager - Contractor

The Senior Project Manager Contractor leads and delivers complex, cross-functional projects across ASI’s technology and corporate portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. This role is responsible for driving the full project lifecycle—from initiation through delivery—while fostering strong collaboration with key stakeholders across research, user experience (UX), software development, quality assurance (QA), and product operations. The Sr. PM plays a central role in enabling operational excellence by coordinating across these functions, facilitating Agile ceremonies, enforcing project management best practices, and promoting process efficiencies to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. This is a 6 - month contract position with possibility to extend.
The salary range for this contract position is $65.00 - $72.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead high-visibility, cross-functional Product teams focused on ASI’s proprietary SaaS platform.
- Drive all project phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; manage change control and scope adjustments.
- Ensure quality standards and excellence in outcomes in partnership with development, QA, and product operations teams.
- Manage periodic (1 per Qtr) overnight releases, coordinating with all impacted teams to ensure smooth, timely deployment with minimal disruption.
Project Success & Reporting
- Define clear project success criteria and track KPIs.
- Communicate progress, risks, issues, and project health to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Monitor and report on project budgets, timelines, and resource performance.
Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Facilitate project meetings, Agile ceremonies, and key decision-making sessions.
- Collaborate closely with research, UX, development, QA, and product operations to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative team dynamics across disciplines.
- Coach team members, promote accountability, and provide recognition and performance feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across cross-functional initiatives.
Performance & Compliance
- Meet project milestones and departmental performance standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Other Duties
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities aligned with evolving organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM,PSM, SSM) and/or PMP Certification preferred.
- Proven experience working directly with Product Managers, UX Designers, Development and QA teams (including working with non-US based Dev & QA teams)
- Knowledge of Product Ops, Design Ops and Dev Ops
- A strong will to instill best practices including process improvements
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Sharepoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound, structured thinking.
- High attention to detail and ability to operate independently as a self-starter.
