Finance Intern

ASI currently has a hybrid work model. This position requires in person attendance at our office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

As a Finance Intern, you will gain hands on experience and learn about various aspects of finance such as budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. 

The Finance Intern will report directly to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, and work amongst others in the finance department.

This is a paid internship with an hourly pay-rate of $18.00 per hour. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Finance Team with the monthly financial close by entering journal entries, researching expenses, and assisting with account reconciliations.
• Assist with weekly advertising revenue reporting.
• Provide general support, especially in preparing monthly reporting, rotating across team to learn each area.
• Assist with creating budget and forecast templates.
• Provide administrative support for the Finance team by preparing documents for presentations and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Currently a Finance or Accounting major.
• Prior work, intern, or co-op experience desired but not required.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel – Intermediate/Advanced Excel is a plus)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, fast learner, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
