Sr. FP&A Analyst
The Sr. FP&A Analyst is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities to support the organization's strategic goals. This role involves building out complex financial models and reports, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to senior management to aid in decision-making processes.
Essential Functions
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, including budget variances, revenue trends, cost drivers, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to support business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Build out complex financial models and reports for the department and executive management
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Utilize financial planning software and tools to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project accounting, general accounting, business development, program operations, and other departments, to gather data, validate assumptions, and align financial plans with business objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance financial planning and analysis processes.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

Qualifications and Competencies
- Familiarity with Government contracting business (DoD or other agencies)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working with ERP systems and extracting data and report writing
- Willingness to learn Power BI or similar and implement processes utilizing the tools.
- Knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to distill complex findings and concepts into key data-points and visualizations
- Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- US Citizenship required
Education / Certifications
- 4 year Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Experience
- 4 to 6 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or related field.
- 1 year minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1 year minimum experience in a DoD or similar environment

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
Salary Range
$126,000 - $156,300 USD
