Job Overview
The Facilities Helper provides general support for the maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and organization of company buildings and grounds. This position assists with routine maintenance activities, furniture moves, event setup, preventive maintenance tasks, and facility inspections while ensuring a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
Essential Functions
- Assist with routine building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company facilities.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, tightening fixtures, and minor painting or patching.
- Support preventive maintenance activities on facility equipment and systems.
- Assist with office, warehouse, and conference room setups, including moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage rooms, and work areas.
- Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
- Assist with exterior maintenance including litter removal, pressure washing, and seasonal grounds support.
- Help receive, organize, and stock maintenance supplies and inventory.
- Support waste removal, recycling, and disposal activities in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist contractors and vendors by providing facility access and logistical support.
- Respond to routine maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance skills.
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to take directions and follow through on assigned tasks to completion.
- Ability to read and understand written text and instructions.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with a team or independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly responsible and reliable.

Education / Certifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification or similar safety training is a plus.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Experience
- 1+ years of facilities, maintenance, construction, warehouse, or related experience.

Security Clearance
