Logistics Driver (CDL Required)
Job Overview
AEVEX Aerospace is looking for a Logistics Driver to move goods via road transport from one point to the other across various locations. This Logistics Driver delivers goods from one location to another on a routine daily basis.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for scanning and loading packages into trailers in efficient manner.
- Safely handle fragile or hazardous products while loading and unloading packages.
- Prepare warehouse for deliveries by cleaning and organizing packages to ensure isles and walkways are clear of obstructions.
- Navigate high traffic areas with 20-40 foot flatbed and gooseneck trailers including backing up into loading docks and around high traffic areas, making U-Turns, and picking up and dropping off in urban areas.
- Practice safe and secure methods to load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle to avoid damages to goods.
- Safely load and unload deliveries according to size of load and content description.
- Manage discrepancy documentation for incoming shipments.
- Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
- Determine placement of merchandise.
- Follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries and conduct safety reviews.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Ability to pass an annual DMV record check required to ensure compliance with company and regulatory driving standards.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Cross-trained in all aspects of shipping and deliveries.
- Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks, navigate efficiently and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix minor vehicle issues.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Clean driving record and extensive knowledge of traffic laws.
- Proven ability to deliver packages undamaged and on time.
- Exceptional driving and parking skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to organize your time and workload.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Education / Certifications
- High school diploma required/AA preferred.
Experience
- Experience driving 40-foot goose neck trailers and flatbed trailers over 20 feet long.
- Professional with 2 years' experience working for a delivery service company.

Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
